کہاں سے لائیں ھر روزاک نیادل
توڑ نے والوں نے تو تماشہ بنارکھا ہے

I will not die from this sadness
اپنے گزرے ہوۓ ایام سے نفرت ہے مجھے
اپنی بے کار تمناؤں پہ شرمندہ ہوں میں
I hate my past
I am ashamed of my vain desires
میں وہ قصہ ہوں جسے تم سمجھ نہ پاؤ گے
مجھ سے آنکھیں ملاو پھر میں سُناؤں تجھے
I am the story that you will not understand
Make eye contact with me and I will listen to you
جانے کس کس پہ پڑی۔ ۔۔ ہوں گی تمہاری نظریں
میں نے چُن چُن کے تیرے شہر کے پتھر چومے

دل کے مندر میں مورت جیسے
آ تجھے شعر سناؤں تیری صورت جیسے

اس شہر میں کس سے ملیں ہم سے تو چھوٹی محفلیں
ہر شخص تیرا نام لے ہر شخص دیوانہ تیرا

آج ہم کو اس سے ملنا ہی نہیں
آج کی بات آج ہی کی جائے گی

یونہی راہوں میں بیٹھے ہیں صاحب

قضا ہوگے ہم سے سجدے بھی سارے
اے عشق سچ بتا کہیں تو کافر تو نہیں

ابھی پہلی ٹوٹ پھوٹ کی مرمت نہیں ہوئی
اور دل پھر سے عشق_کا اِرادہ کر رہا ہے

لباس عشق پہن کر قلنردوں کی طرح
ہم تیری یاد کی دنیا میں رقص کرتے ہیں

سب کچھ مل جاتا ہے اس دنیا میں فراز
فقط وہ شخص نہیں ملتا جس سے محبت ہو

مجھے فکر امن عالم، تجھے اپنی ذات کا غم۔۔
میں طلوع ہورہا ہوں تُو غروب ہورہا ہے
I am worried about peace, you are worried about yourself.

بے حد لاچاری کا عالم تھا
معلوم جب ہوا مُلاقات آخری ہے

چراغوں کو جَلانے میں، جلالیں انگلیاں ہم نے

تیری ہی طرح اَب یہ تَرے ہِجر کے دِن بھی
جَاتے نظر آتے ہیں ، مَگر کیوں نہیں جاتے؟

ﮐﭽﮫ ﺑﺘﺎﺗﺎ ﮨﯽ ﻧﮩﯿﮟ ﻏﻢ ﮐﺎ ﺳﺒﺐ
ﺑﺲ ﯾﻮﻧﮩﯽ، ﮔُﻢ ﺳُﻢ ﮨﮯ ﻣﺤﺴﻦ ﺁﺝ ﮐﻞ
No one tells the cause of grief
It's just, I'm missing Mohsen today
اب وہ کسی اور سے کہتے ہونگے
تم سے بچھڑیں گے تو مر جایئں گے
Now they will tell someone else
If they leave you, they will die
ﺳﻨﺎ ﮨﮯ ﺑﺎﺩﺷﺎﮦ ﮨﯿﮟ ﺗﻤﮩﺎﺭﯼ ﺁﻧـــــــــــــــــــﮑﮭﯿﮟ

تو کیا سچ مچ جدائی مجھ سے کر لی
تو خود اپنے کو آدھا کر لیا کیا

ذرا خاموش بیٹھو تو_ دم آرام سے نکلے
اِدھر میں ہچکی لیتا ہوں اُدھر تم رونے لگتی ہو
Just sit quietly and relax
Here I hiccup, there you cry
مر جاوں تو لکھ دینا __میری سنگ لحد پر
موت اچهی تهی،مگر جدائی یار سے توبہ توبہ
If I die, I will write death on my tombstone, but I will repent of my separation from my friend
پرسش حال سے غم اور نہ بڑھ جائے کہیں
ہم نے اس ڈر سے کبھی حال نہ پوچھا اپنا
Do not let grief increase from the present
We never asked about this fear
کون خریدے گا اب تمہارے آنسو ہیروں کے دام
وہ جو وفا کا تاجر تها دوستی چھوڑ دی اس نے
Who will buy your tears now at the price of diamonds?
He who left his friendship with the merchant of loyalty
آج کھا قسم اپنی خوبصورت آنکھوں کی
کیا تجھے ذرا بھی عشق نہیں ھے ھم سے
Today swear by your beautiful eyes
Don't you have any love for me?
وقت بدل دیتا ہے زندگی کے سبھی رنگ
کوئی چاہ کے اپنے لیے اداسی نہیں چنتا
Time changes all colors of life
No one chooses sadness for himself
ہم تیرے لگتے تو کچھ بھی نہیں مگر
بن تیرے نہ جانے کیوں اداس رہتے ہیں
If we look like you, we are nothing
Don't know why you are sad
مناسب سمجھو تو صرف اتنا بتا دو
دل بے چین ہے کہیں تم اداس تو نہیں

The heart is restless, but you are not sad
جگر ہوجائے گا چھلنی یہ آنکھیں خون روئیں گی
بے فیض لوگوں سے نبھا کے کچھ نہیں ملتا
Liver will become sieve, these eyes will cry blood

ہاں توڑ دیا وہ شیشہ آج میں نے
ہنس رہا تھا مجھ پر کچھ زیادہ

Laughing at me a bit too much
مجھ سے کہتی ہے تیرے ساتھ رہونگی
بہت پیار کرتی ہے مجھ سے اداسی میری
She says to me, I will stay with you
My sadness loves me so much
اور کچھ بھی نہیں سبب میری اداسی کا
لو کرتا ہوں اقرار مجھے تم یاد آتے ہو
And nothing is the cause of my sadness
I admit I miss you
دل کو تیرے دیدار کی آس رہتی ہے
ان نظروں کو تیری صورت کی پیاس رہتی ہے
میرے پاس کسی چیز کی کمی تو نہیں دوست
مگر تیرے بغیر زندگی اداس رہتی ہے
My heart longs to see you
These eyes are thirsty for your face
I don't lack anything my friend
But life is sad without you
اے حاصل خلوص بتا کیا جواب دوں
دنیا یہ پوچھتی ہے کہ میں کیوں اداس ہوں
Please tell me what to answer
The world asks why I am sad
اداس لوگ یونہی نہیں مسکراتے
غموں سے چھین کر لاتے ہیں ہنسی اپنی
Sad people don't always smile
Laughter is taken away from sorrows
